It is the most famous of Armagnac and rightly so. Very often the term Armagnac is preceded by the word "old". It proposes to its guests, mostly an old Armagnac. Again the Three Musketeers ® offer commonly ranging from 5 to 20 years and offer the same special rare vintages of up to 80 years (while maintaining a satisfactory level of alcohol, usually around the 42e). The water of life, that sort of the still white, is placed in oak barrels. Each barrel must be new to accommodate the water of life young, because then a subtle trade is going to happen: the water of life goes; gradually extract tannins and oak incorporate both visual (color more brown) and taste level, there is in fact very good tannin flavors at the taste buds. |
