What makes Armagnac different from any other liquor?

1) Armagnac is only issued from grapes (when Whisky, Vodka,
Bourbon, Gin, etc… are issued from grain).

2) Armagnac is different from Cognac even if both of them are French
and issued from two parts of France which are not really distant.

Armagnac is issued from four varieties of grapes, which can guaranty
a constant quality even if climate may vary from one year to an
other, when Ugni Blanche is almost the exclusive variety used for
   Cognac.

3) Armagnac has definitely nothing to do with the numerous brandies
issued from all parts of the world. All these fake products try to
imitate Cognac and Armagnac, but in most cases, quality is not
   that good.
